This course offers participants the opportunity to learn about personal protective equipment programs, the various types of PPE available, and how to properly inspect, don and maintain PPE. |

12:30 AM – 4:30 PM | April 16, 2019 | Heat Stress
This course will discuss the effects of heat on the body, outline the risk factors for heat-related illnesses, and describe the associated treatments for each. This training will also explain several control measures/techniques and safe work practices that can be used to prevent heat-related stresses. |

The objectives of this course are to identify: 1.) Common hazards that lead to slips, trips, and falls as well as the principles behind good housekeeping practices; and 2.) To recognize areas of greater risk and the required safety protections against them and notification to proper parties of them. |

This course provides first responder training for HazMat workers and others who will respond to hazardous materials incidents. The intended audiences are those who will implement the emergency action plans of their facility but will not be involved in defensive and cleanup activities. |

12:30 AM – 4:30 PM | Apr 18, 2019 | Hazard Communications/Global Harmonization System (GHS)
The learning objectives of this course are to (1) present the U.S. Department of Labor’s OSHA Hazard Communication Standards; (2) describe the basic elements of the Hazard Communications Program; (3) discuss the nature of chemical hazards and the types of exposures they present; (4) list the information required on each of the four types of hazardous chemical containers; (5) describe the required sections of a Safety Data Sheet; and (6) identify the basic requirements of the hazard communication training program. |
