The Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Psi Epsilon Omega Chapter in partnership with The Pearl Elegance Foundation, Inc., Environmental Justice Committee and the Center for Community Engagement, Environmental Justice, and Health (CEEJH) at the Maryland Institute for Applied Environmental Health School of Public Health at the University of Maryland, is hosting a community wide Zoom Workshop and discussion around national and local environmental topics, impacts and legislation affecting our neighborhoods and communities in Prince George’s County.
The forum’s objectives include:
–Discussing the current status of the Biden/Harris Environmental Agenda;
–A dialogue about the State of Maryland and Prince George’s County environmental agendas, current issues, and specifically how local communities can ensure their voices are heard; and
–Facilitating a hands-on demonstration for the community to learn how to use technology to monitor and address equity, health and environmental impacts in their communities
