The mission of The Harambee House / CFEJ includes providing relevant and timely training in the areas of environmental protection, ecological sustainability, and community education to ensure that all citizens live in and maintain healthy cities and neighborhoods. To that end, The Harambee House endeavors to deliver year-round job training programs that support the policies of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the U. S. Dept of Energy, the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Georgia Environmental Protection Division (GA EPD), Georgia Division of Public Health, the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), and the Office of Environmental Management, just to name a few of the agencies with which The Harambee House partners.
The 2020 Environmental Careers Worker Training Program (ECWTP) begins on March 30, 2020.
Sign-up NOW for training in environmental sustainability, hazardous waste awareness, and OSHA safety regulations. The Harambee House / Citizens for Environmental Justice is offering its annual Environmental Careers Worker Training Program starting March 30, 2020. Participants who complete the course work receive federal certifications in areas of hazardous waste awareness and management, and environmental sustainability. This provides graduating participants the opportunity to work in many related industry fields: construction, building renovation, health, and environmental safety, lead abatement, asbestos remediation, air, water and soil quality monitoring, and emergency preparedness and disaster response, to name just a few possibilities.
